Working at FBK
From March to June 2023, I worked as a UX Design intern at FBK and the University of Trento.

During this period, I collaborated with Amnesty International in a multidisciplinary team, concentrating on crafting a gamified educational platform.

Throughout these months, my primary challenge was consistently prioritizing while also respecting technical feasibility and communicating the delicate topic through effective storytelling – a delicate task that emphasizes the importance of UX design.

I had the chance to engage in various stages of the process including, brainstorming, ideation, and creating design illustrations and wireframes. The project concluded with the implementation of the platform's interactions.
The challenge
The main challenges have been related to the sensitivity of the content intertwined with:
- Which level of interaction is better considering the topic?
- How to choose the different scenarios?
- The level of scenarios' customization.
The approach
We chose to stick with the material designed and to build on it the different scenarios for the platform.

Which level of interaction is better considering the topic? The user can interact with each platform element with a different degree of freedom. The environment, the characters and the objects can be chosen among a group of pre-designed illustrations. Instead, the user has more freedom in producing the scripts of the dialogues among the characters they choose to put into the scenario.

What I've learnt
While the project I worked on is under NDAs, I will highlight my main learnings from working as a Researcher and Designer in FBK with Amnesty International.
